Denied dont make smuggling have progress towards the 120 skill limit

Won't lie, I have no clue what you mean
Every player has a skill cap of 120, so you can increase all skills but once you have a combined 120 levels you can gain no more. For example you can get 50 in guns, 50 in in speed and 20 in medical, but then can no longer increase your skill.

For some reason he thinks that Smuggling should be exempt from this, I think it's silly. If any skill has a case for being exempt it's speed due to it's ubiquitous utility but there's no reason to make any skill immune to this system.

Ahh, makes sense now, thank you. Disagree with suggestion, yeah.

Why doesn't it make sense tho?
It's a balance feature that skills are capped behind a global level cap. While it's possible that someone could become a professional level 50 in three or more skills, it's balanced to make people more realistic characters, otherwise everyone would grind to max out skills and become, compared to new users, OP.

Right now bartering is the only "skill" exempt from the level system entirely as V1 was a mess with attempting to get shops started as some couldn't buy things they needed, now it just depends on if you have the money. As for smuggling, I could see the selling side become uncapped (still using levels) but the buying side should stay capped for sure.

Why does it make no sense? Smuggling is a skill and you can only level so many skills.

Nope, All skills are capped so there would be no reason to let Smuggling be excempt

or a senior doctor for one, gives you literal brain +50 and you dont know how to ask simple questions or go to x spot where you can just as easy order wooden materials from

you're a master melee and super speed with some crafting knowledge and because of that you dont know how to ask to order x-high-level-ingredient from a smuggler
The levels for smuggler is more like trust. It's not that you can't ask for something, it's that the smuggler wouldn't trust you

I am going to have to deny this outright. Smuggling is a skill just like the rest. You either get really good at it while losing out on other skills or you let another member of your group do so while you get to level up other skills. You have the choice for which skills you want to level, its up to you to decide what your character is. This is all a balancing system to stop characters from becoming insanely powerful because they want to be a master in multiple fields. At best, you can be a master in 2 fields and good in another one.
