SignUp Now!Ideally, just prevent your username from showing up, or have a toggle for it. Seeing a character name is fine if you recognize them, but some people may be (intentionally) targeted due to their OOC identity. I have had several instances where I was recognized on a new character because I F3'd someone and they checked the scoreboard and found out who I was. This is like the complete opposite of another suggestion xd.
So we got a suggestion to reveal all names and a suggestion to remove any names from the scoreboard?? I don't really see much point to either. The current "Unknown" system works fine as is, with those you recognize appearing so you know when they are online which is sorta what we wanted to make sure you don't need to call an admin or pm each time to check if someone specific is on.
idk. both ideas seem like extreme ends of the stick
SO to basically be as it is now but your steam profile is hidden?Ideally, just prevent your username from showing up, or have a toggle for it. Exactly like that, yes.SO to basically be as it is now but your steam profile is hidden?
This is just for Steam names and avatars, has nothing to do with the character recognition system. This is like the complete opposite of another suggestion xd.

This statement right here just reminded me. Since LOOC and OOC already don't show the players' names, it is slightly harder to report minges or make reports. Since normally you would just pop open the scoreboard, find the guy you are talking to in the scoreboard > Look at their steam profile and then report them.Personally I kind of like knowing if I'm roleplaying with someone who's worth interacting with, or if it's someone I absolutely want to avoid.
Making that an impossibility helps no one but the offenders.
