Meeting snakes in HL2RP in general was bad experience. People just sucking your dick for in game position and once they achieve it they just shit talk about you 24/7. A lot of betrayals included.

Such is life. But the most scary story from HL2RP is..... Becoming staff, plz kill me

joined this hl2rp once and made a snitch of a char, super loyal to a fault but a renegade at the same time. killed a bunch of rebels and turned rebels in as a loyalist, saved a bunch of cops and basically met the vice administrator on my FIRST DAY playing because i medrped and saved some ambassador from africa in an event.

then i got icly recruited by the headcops because my char was so legendary and like did a bunch of whacky crazy shit that i somehow survived and kinda just wing the fuck out of it TBH

even managed to quell a hostage situation by martyring with a flashbang and saved an ambassador!!??

Worst experience I have had was in the early 2010's. I was younger and dumber, but still had some common sense to explore the internet. Decided to hop on a relatively small server that had twenty people on (it was small for the time most servers had a really large player-base or a really small player-base). Everything seemed alright when I played as a citizen turned rebel and decided to join Civil Protection because I was getting interested in the server. I was given a DvL position after a few days (they just recently removed an inactive DvL and I was the only one who was capable of taking the spot). Turns out - ERP was really supported amongst the Civil Protection which I had not known at the time. We joke about Non-mechanical Reproduction on Willard, but this server ACTUALLY had RP for such. I had only found out after some /me's leaked through a wall and it was extremely fetish-based and gross. Obviously I left the server after that and cut all contacts with the people involved. It was a gross situation and what was even grosser was that someone on the admin team had leaked ERP logs which consisted of the owner having an orgy situation with a few units (who were minors at the time).

Gladly I had no one even attempt to ERP with me (unassuming because I was new). HL2RP has some really disgusting people on it, and GMOD in general is a cesspool of retards, furries, pedophiles, the clinically insane, and children. Only reason I still play on GMOD is because I retain some sort of nostalgia.

One of the Worst Experiences I've had with HL2RP was in 2016. At the time I found a pretty small server which I'd forgotten the name of (It started with Echo and then I forgot the rest) So this server had a cap of 30 and had about 25 players on it daily. So I made a Citizen Turned Rebel Character and after about two weeks I ended up being a leader of a resistance group with 3 uniformed fighters.

So the group was preparing for a plan where we would take down the main checkpoint in the city so we could attack the nexus (For context this server had two small districts: One which was the Lower District which was just the slums and the Higher district which was a loyalist haven. There was a large checkpoint connecting the two) So the plan was to Plant a C4 by a weak structure holding the checkpoint together and so we would blow it up and attack the upper city and supply any men who joined us.

Now My main part was to plant the C4 by going into the checkpoint and when I did there was this One CP who let me through to the upper city. I then picked up the bomb itself from a guy in the upper city.

I went back down to the checkpoint and snuck down to the side where I rolled to hop the fence and sneakily plant it under a table and then walk out.

So the same CP must've seen my /me's cause next thing I know he runs around the corner and metagames by grabbing me (FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE) and begins to pat me down...

Now, this next part was horrifying...

So he begins to pat me down...and for some fucking reason he decides to pull down my pants and try to ERP (WHAT THE FUCK) so immediately I hit a /looc "Dude what are you doing" and he just says "go along with it".

So I decided fuck that and I just leave. So I return about a day later and see I'm banned for LTARP for about a week.

I came back after a week but somebody meta'd our rebel group cause the base was raided and all my members were either dead or left. So I quit the server and I notice a month later that it was pulled down.

I found out later that the same CP ended up getting admin and tried to do ERP more with the rebel groups. So the server died after that.
