Counter Strike Global Offensive props are used incredibly frequently to make a lack of having the game mounted pretty detrimental. The legacy branch of the game is a whole twenty six gigabytes on top of the thirty-or-so you need for Counter Strike 2, which makes it a pain to have installed, finally even if you get the game installed there's a long-standing bug that some users experience where mounting the game bricks Garry's Mod.
I know for a fact that this has been brought up before, there's a post two or so spaces down from this explaining the same issue. This is new-player deterrent. Nobody wants to download twenty gigs of slop only to load into the server and see 50 errors taking up the streets.
There are some remedial things that the admins and or developers could do to fix this; You could replace the CS:GO props with L4D2 ones which have the same style and come from a game that is currently smaller and more accessible compared to CS:GO, You could also create a palette of props to select from average usage and isolate them and then upload a pack of them to steam, Or you could totally remove these assets from the server altogether.
Before anyone says "Isn't it illegal to have these assets on steam, its the users' responsibility to have them installed!", I would say the vast majority of C24 is comprised of assets from L4D2, CSGO and Black Mesa, their assets have been up on the workshop for years without being taken down once.
