Been playing for a few days now and honestly I’m not too sure what to think.
On one hand I think the setting gives GMs and staff a lot of leeway with how creative they can be, with events and GMing.
On the other hand most of this maps conflict has boiled down to combine vs rebels, and those weird savage vorts who like are totally cool and amazing.
Anyway, I found it really irritating OTA deployed during the vort freeing on day 2 (?), I mean, we’re in the outlands, don’t we want to stray from what’s the norm? Right now, I’m on the fence between whether or not this event is a completely different breath of fresh air, or just glorified cityRP.
One thing I did forget to mention is the plethora of issues I’ve personally had with being in the savage vort group. I got pinged twice from vort-flux to get online as we had to defend the temple. Okay, whateva. We wait for around 30-45 minutes just to get told they’ve called off the attack. Great, what a waste of fucking time. Ok, whateva, how about we just get the flank and push them? We then decide to go through the entire gas-station bunker, just to leave and get told by a GM we had to go back and roleplay exiting the place. Again, really fucking annoying but hey, it’s a roleplay server, game is game. We go back and continue to RP escaping the bunker, GM is taking their sweet time letting us go, we’re on a time crunch. 5-10 minute go by as we wait for a GM to GM us breaking a door open, only to find out the GM fucked off halfway through and didn’t tell anyone. So we’d just been sitting there twiddling our thumbs for around 2-3 hours, the first few hours coz we were pinged to get on, and the second because a GM had to leave.
I’m somewhat lucky I’m apart of the savage vort group too, because from what I’ve seen I’d hate to be a citizen or CP for this event, looks very boring.
