OTA/Vort KD ratio crooked as always.

While this is irregular for main server events, I'm interested in avoiding the mistakes of the past (Metro Arc) and making sure everyone involved has fun in this event. I've already received some complaints which were quickly rectified and would like to open the floor for other complaints or a discussion on what people feel are missing or could do with improving.

Please note that for day one, the plan was always for it to be quite a quiet day so players can find their bearings on this new map and so factions wouldn't be stressed out from having to find a temporary base combined with being spammed with events. It's likely that future days will be more interesting.

Please include what faction you were playing as in your response down below.

epic vortigaunt shenanigans day 1
ruined the ceasefire.

10/10 would do it again

Send in the OSA to kill all the Combine for having a ceasefire with terrorists.

Atleast you're trying.

Not overly-enthused the Tyrant character is back again. I could just be going crazy, but it feels like every single time we do an event, the hostile entity we deal with can't help but be described as a demigod or something. Might just be me, but It feels like this has happened at least two other times. Still, bit too late to alter that. Its not event-breaking or anything, just a bit bleh imo.

As for the citizen stuff, we are doing okay RP wise. Though there is a seeming lack of direction for us. My character is incapacitated, so Im not the best judge of all this, but before the event started we were going to have to build our own camp up a bit, scavenge for supplies etc. So far, that really hasn't happened. We just kinda happened upon an already cooked and ready location, with no addons really needing to be made.

As for events, I feel like we aren't getting a whole lot where we are, at camp, but I am not really able to measure that against much. As, again, my character is heavily wounded and thus doesn't leave camp. Still, event has been enjoyable so far, I've played a bunch of it, so no major, game-breaking complaints.

There needs to be a way to get some kind of resources without having to get a GM.
i cannot do anything i want to do without waiting 30 minutes to an hour, and even then, a lot of the time no one responds at all. Please add something, trash, loot crates, a smuggler, fucking anything.

This is not me harking on GMs, i know they can't respond to every ticket and want to play the server like normal. But that just makes better it if they don't have to respond to ticket to get any resource.

Been playing for a few days now and honestly I’m not too sure what to think.

On one hand I think the setting gives GMs and staff a lot of leeway with how creative they can be, with events and GMing.

On the other hand most of this maps conflict has boiled down to combine vs rebels, and those weird savage vorts who like are totally cool and amazing.

Anyway, I found it really irritating OTA deployed during the vort freeing on day 2 (?), I mean, we’re in the outlands, don’t we want to stray from what’s the norm? Right now, I’m on the fence between whether or not this event is a completely different breath of fresh air, or just glorified cityRP.

One thing I did forget to mention is the plethora of issues I’ve personally had with being in the savage vort group. I got pinged twice from vort-flux to get online as we had to defend the temple. Okay, whateva. We wait for around 30-45 minutes just to get told they’ve called off the attack. Great, what a waste of fucking time. Ok, whateva, how about we just get the flank and push them? We then decide to go through the entire gas-station bunker, just to leave and get told by a GM we had to go back and roleplay exiting the place. Again, really fucking annoying but hey, it’s a roleplay server, game is game. We go back and continue to RP escaping the bunker, GM is taking their sweet time letting us go, we’re on a time crunch. 5-10 minute go by as we wait for a GM to GM us breaking a door open, only to find out the GM fucked off halfway through and didn’t tell anyone. So we’d just been sitting there twiddling our thumbs for around 2-3 hours, the first few hours coz we were pinged to get on, and the second because a GM had to leave.

I’m somewhat lucky I’m apart of the savage vort group too, because from what I’ve seen I’d hate to be a citizen or CP for this event, looks very boring.

the days so far.png

Started off a bit awkward, but the loyalist region of the map is shaping up nicely. Definitely feels like desperate times coupled with the cozy setting allow for a level of candor in the conversations that simply wouldn't have been possible back in the city proper.

i was playing vortigaunt when the event happened but no one gave notice to unshackle me, so i just passively played bioticrp. still, it was a fun event and it was pretty good besides from restricting me from my vortal powers but none then less a great event.
