As of right now you are only allowed to have three employees with business permits, which is fine. You're also encouraged to hire more employees, however for some reason there is no option for the CWU to give you employees that do not have permits. Therefore despite having six employees, half of my employees don't have keys to the shop and if they're caught running the shop they'll get in trouble with cops because they're not registered as employees.

So right now you have the option of: Full emloyee with permits (max 3) and non employees. I would appreciate it if there was a third option so you could have more than three employees, employees who are registered at the business and have keys but do not have the business permit.

It seems like it's a mismatch between what the business guide says (you can have more than 3 employees, but only three can have permits) and the code that only allows employees with permits.

Thanks

Well first off, I don't see why employee numbers should be limited, maybe CWU are getting the "Employee Requirement" number on the roster mixed up with maximum number of employees? Because as far as I'm aware, this:
The MAXIMUM amount of employees that can be given a permit is 3, excluding the business owner.
ONLY says that permits can be given to a max of three employees, not that the cap for employees is 3. Some locations REQUIRE 5 employees to own...

Outside of this, I can't imagine why a limit on employee numbers would be a thing. Group locks are a thing, and can be used in-place of keys to get around the needing a permit to have keys for a store. OR allow the key item to be used by other people for those that can't afford group locks. Keys will still be limited to four per business, but if one of the employees is going on a trip IRL they could hand off the key to another employee , etc. and so on.

As for employment being noted on their file, I don't see the NEED for an employee to have permit and keys to be marked as "Working for X business" under employment status.

I don't think there should be a limit, the problem is that there actual in game system on the PDA doesn't allow for these extra employees. They are aware that as per the faction rules it should be possible, but there is no function to set someone up as an employee and not give them permits on the server.

Thanks this is exactly my point, but they can't registered as employees in game which is a problem.

I agree there should be no limit, this is not being suggested If you wanna hand me a group lock it'd at least avoid the keys issue, but idk if staff are going to hand every business a group lock. But I don't think it's unreasonable to have the CWU shop system on the forums and in the games be compatible by allowing people to be registered as employees without getting them permits.

Because working for a business illegally gets you in trouble with cops, the bureau and CWU etc?

Let's clarify here:

- Each individual storefront has (at maximum) FOUR MEMBERS (owner + 3 employees) who can own a business permit at a time.
- Each individual storefront can have as many employees as they want (but the above rule applies; only owner + 3 employees can hold permit).

I believe the issue Sagsworth is facing is that you can't put employees into a store group (on the PDA) UNLESS they have a permit. So, currently, we will only put the owner + his three permit-owning employees in to the store group. We WILL NOT give more than four members permits - we don't want every single citizen on the server to be able to just but their own shit when they need it, and never visit stores.

This IS a coding issue. You should be able to assign citizens to a store group even if they don't have a permit, so they can help pay rent and have the keys to the property.

So it should be assumed that this suggestion is accepted and was only due to issues regarding code, not any actual set-in-stone policy.
