«Life is often a mountain, it is a long moment of struggle as your hands turn calloused and cut,
your body giving out through the abuse done to it, the muscles locking and trembling.
Life is but a string of moments; Birth and death is but two moments with work being the longest one.
The longest one, providing a source of comfort once you reach the end.»

«There is no shame in failing, it's a corner stone for learning, improvement and more importantly to grow as a person. Life is cruel and punishing, for one to live through it all is to gain a strength and wisdom that many yearn for - Those who are intelligent enough to know what to yearn for... I must admit, sometimes doing the wrong things can make you a bad person; To hurt, exploit, trample... It is the show of the rat race. We either keep up with the pace or tumble down and simply get crushed under the weight.»

«My wrong choices led me down to a world of pain and a road of struggle. Conscript service for so called political perversion... People don't like thinkers these days, people who are uncorrupt, believers in the benefactors - Not wanting the old world of exploitation, genocide and degradation... The service turned me into a monster. I hated every fiber of my own being -- I cannot sleep without seeing their faces when I close my eyes.»

«To Ukraine I was sent... In the trenches as a medic, a field surgeon... Even medical trials, too... I was exploited like how I exploited the captured. Fascists, anarchists, bandits and those unlucky were not spared... Even our own were not spared... A lot of death, agony and anger spilled over the muddy and cold fields...»

«To think of it all... I got out in the end, I felt anger, sadness, happiness and fear...
At times, I wish I did not feel anything because often, I'm crushed by the world,
by the negative... It made me stronger, I have more than most people and for that I'm thankful.»

Relations
Michael is a fellow colleague within the medical union. He is a rather quiet and reserved man, marred by sadness and no doubt past trauma; I like him as I find some solace in him, we aren't much different but also different at the same time. I feel pity for him because no one should really go through horrendous calamity. From what I've spoken with him, he is a rather friendly and respectable person with seemingly good intentions but it appears the universe has different ideas for him - Not matter his kindness, disposition nor what good he does... He is still seemingly punished by a poor fate, for which I somewhat mirror and sympathize with.
A good person should get good in return and not to be spat in the face.

Uwe Schulz: A patient that I had previously worked on. One moment I am helping get a bullet out of him and the next we're talking about politics and my personal way of it. He is a very intelligent man, I somewhat respect him as he's a well adjusted citizen; Once again another person marred and scarred by misfortune and even burn out. He has apparently been in this city for a few years now, apart from the occasional relocation to... City eight? I think - Anyway, he has warned me of my ideas even though they are within the confines of Ascensionism but alas, he appears to be a man that cares.
A young and aspiring star within the collaborator's party, and the MOE. I remember when I first met you, being a supporter; We had and still have good chemistry for now we are colleagues and are members within the same binder. She has even helped me become part of the VET and the binder, giving me a chance to rub shoulders with people of power and admiration - I thank her a lot for it and I personally look forward to where her career sends her as for me she seems like a hard working woman and deserves what she has in life, even more.
One of the first people I got to know when I arrived here. We had hit it off, our friendly relations improving over time and built into a mutual respect in which can flourish greatly - I feel anyway. She has been helping me with various tasks around the city and within the clinic, even extending to buy me a meal at an establishment and gave a beer with it too! I look forward to our blossoming relationship but alas we are both busy women in a busy yet so dead city.
I see a woman who has gone far in life, got so much and achieved somewhat well... But this isn't without the drawbacks, the years of grinding down by incompetency, heartbreak and random crap; Contending with the worse that bureaucratic and medical life has to offer. This is something I sense but I feel somewhat of a pity for her, a person who is trying hard but gets bullshit for it... It's not right nor fair - Then again, life isn't fair for anyone. What more I see from Eleanor is a woman who really knows what she wants and deserves through her lot in life; a woman who is hell bent on success and getting to the top, thus she has done it. She is genuinely successful and it shows, albeit with the aforementioned downsides. This is a woman to actually look up to: All the stress, anger and misfortune has paid off which will continue to pay off more... I see a lot of myself in her and I like her overall. I enjoy spending time with her and look forward to seeing her more.
At first I thought you was pretentious, an older man of the old world thinking he was better than everyone... But I was wrong, I admit to my faults and that I'm simply wrong. You're a good Doctor and pharmacist... I cannot say otherwise but also you seem to have a heart full of kindness... You've spoken to me with kindness when I was down and alone, even putting my name forward for the medal I still wear now; You've given me a proud moment, you've made my work all worth it in the end - Kick started my career into the party with this very event. For this, I thank you, greatly.
Marcus is a person who has it all, one of the luckier people; Came from nothing and found his golden egg. He is a man to be respected, coming from humble roots and even currently serving within the Conscript Forces. He has certainly made his mark there with all the medals he has and within the Collaborator sphere - I'm sure he will do well within the political. Personally what I know about him, face to face is that he is a respectable gentleman who is rather proud but humble. He is not insulting with his footing and awards in life, a man that many should look up to as a prime example.
A chance encounter at a work shift led to meeting this man; through all the exhaustion, malnourishment and dizziness, I kept collapsing. He was there to check up on me, he cared for me. Always offering to buy me a meal, can't stand seeing me be hungry. I took his offer, he wouldn't stop. When I sat down and broke bread with him, I learned a lot about him; Being a man of good intention, willing to work in an education program under the Ministry. I would like to get to know him more one day.
If there is one person I would love to perform pharmaceutical and scientific trials on. It would be Larry-fucking-Leckman. It was you - YOU bastard that had to throw a glass bottle at me and cause me to lose my eye, my very vision... Nothing but a milky-white husk of flesh... You did all of this to seem loyal but I know you're a snake in the system, you're not loyal. Never was... Look at where I am now and where you are. Nothing but a charlatan.
A very kind and comely older gentleman who I had the pleasure to chat with. Our time together was short but you had changed my life for the better in this chance encounter. You took the time out of your day to recommend me for collaborator status - I was thrilled and excited over the chance - The very idea of it all. It was passed, I got in thanks to you, Arthur. I may not have many things to say to you nor do I know you much personally but of your business; With all my heart: You are a great man.
