Project Zypherus Feedback Thread

It WAS cool. Felt rushed but it seemed like the only way for us to survive at some point. Kinda sad that it lasted only one day. More PassiveRP would also have been nice.

No RPG's were found, sad. Otherwise was really cool and short, I rate it a juicy hamburger on a sunday evening.

I would've liked if the event was longer.

felt rushed.

Felt restrictive.

It didn't feel really 'Denuke' difficulty, as the only challenging parts of the expedition were the horde of fast zombies at the airlock.

I liked the tension and drama in the airlock, especially negotiating with a rebel, and the choices we had to make.

I really want @Ekrell 's cop, "DAGGER-560" to transfer to C24! Come on! It'd be cool Ekrell!

It feels as if we did not get much chance to explore the map, nor did any specific areas 'stand out' to me. It felt like we were being pressured to move at every moment, especially during the final part where the zombies were hitting the door.

Nice event I had fun....I won't trust my team next time for a refrag....

Now for real it was a nice event but I think it was a bit rush maybe be a bit longer with more objectives in the middle.
The necesity of killing the scientist was nice but make no sense bc we just rushed to kill him at the end he could escape and be found in another expo at a later time.

Overall nice event I enjoy it I had fun :D.

7/10

Hey I'm down if the leads let me, even as a fresh i5 since I don't have a cop character anymore :angrycop:

I'm gonna be brutally honest about this event, so remember this is all constructive criticism, and I have nothing but love and support for my fellow event team members <3

Firstly, le pros;
Cool map choice
That L4D2 crescendo-esque event where we ran towards the gate was good fun. Genuine ass clenching type of situation

Le cons;
It felt like it abruptly ended, especially considering the original expo post mentioned it was a two-day event if I'm not mistaken.
I'm not sure why my character was there. Rajmond could have been replaced with almost anyone and it wouldn't have changed a thing.

One final point I want to make goes beyond just this event, but I feel it’s important to voice it here. I understand that CivPro will always take charge in most situations but what does that leave for the rest of us? When my character wants to take initiative, I’m often told to step aside, or worse yet, I’ve reached the point where I don’t even try because I already know the answer will be "move away". It creates a dynamic where, the moment CivPro is present, I’m no longer an active participant—I’m just a bystander with no real agency

I fully recognize that CivPro are meant to embody authority and oppression, but should the ‘story-driven experience’ you mentioned not be something we all help shape? If the goal is immersive and engaging storytelling, then every character should have opportunities to make meaningful choices and impact the narrative, not just those in positions of power. Otherwise, the experience risks becoming one-sided, where some dictate the story while others are merely along for the ride.

Again, sorry to dump my thoughts into your feedback post but I feel as if this is the best place to make my point.

The CP part was true, we didn't even got time to talk to the event chars and were called to the next spot by them etc. You can't even properly RP that way or interact with the different things in the map. Dunno felt weird in that part.

As a Civpro, and, the denuke difficulty 'acclaimed', I knew what would happen if people seperated from the only people that could protect them. It unfortunately happened to one of the players here, despite my attempts to get them to stay with the group.

We were being pressured, and rushed, oocly which led to negligence icly, and stricter officers.

I did not really enjoy this expo. In reflection.

It felt empty. Directionless, restrictive.

It does develop my character, but, it was too short. My character barely had any time to speak to anyone about anything. Which is needed in expeditions. We had it in C24 ruins, shadow of vladivostok, and those were great events. The best I've ever been on.

Too much NPC shooting, not enough actual character interaction. Felt a little too rail-roadie also.

Hi!! I have little experience doing expeditions - so keep that in my mind when reading this.

Pros!
  • Fantastic buildup and atmosphere. The way the expedition progressed in stages, combined with the map design and ambience, was incredibly immersive. I was genuinely nervous throughout the whole thing- I really thought I was going to die..
  • Great character portrayals. The people playing the event characters did a spectacular job, they made the interactions engaging and memorable. The CivPro’s character model, in particular, was a great touch (I've never seen one so fucked up before)
  • Enjoyable group dynamics. I had a great time playing alongside those chosen for the expedition. There were some really interesting interactions and funny conversations throughout.
  • Nice loot.. (Self explanatory)
Cons & Suggestions:
  • The expedition felt somewhat linear? moving from point A to B to C. That’s often the nature of storytelling though, but a bit more flexibility in how things progress would of been nice.
  • Like others have said, their was a lack of decision-making opportunities for key figures, which is a fault to the players rather than ET. We had high-ranking CWU and CMU staff present, including a Dean, Head of Psychology, and the MOP (the reason for the expedition itself). However, to my memory, none of us were really consulted on decisions. This became especially apparent during the major choice to execute the Doctor, which ultimately cut the expedition short—a massive shame. (If I’m mistaken on this, I apologize!)
  • Limited storytelling about the facility. Aside from the Doctor and CivPro, there wasn’t much information about the place itself. More environmental storytelling—such as notes, logs, or scattered intel—would have helped flesh out the setting and given us more to uncover because honestly? I still had little clue what was going on apart from an experiment going wrong in the prison. But, I could of missed it as I was focused on stopping people from dying as well as myself..

Anyway! I really enjoyed the EXPO :) The atmosphere, character performances, and interactions were all fantastic. I appreciate the effort that went into making it happen! I'll add some screenshots I took as well.
