slick's Civil Protection Reform Idea

I like some of the suggestions. Primarily, being able to do some very minor customization to our uniforms under a guide would be awesome, while keeping the rest of the bodygroups open for rebels with stolen suits and rogue units.
Unit uniform customization guidelines would essentially be the same as the military guidelines. Very strict and minimal choices, with the choices being as measured, precise, and "squared away" as the normal uniform. We already have customization for wearing combat boots instead of the jackboots.

Having different vests would be a pain in the ass to code for different armor values, but having something better to put on than a stab vest while sweeping the sewers during high-risk raids would also be pretty neat.

I have always been a big proponent of Rebels being able to (attempt to) sabotage the Combine supply lines which would lead to units having to pick up supply drops of ammunition and medical equipment, which rebels can also intercept to boost their own armories and hinder the combine's. I also agree with Maroon on making all the equipment cost money from the vendors. I'm not sure if it's possible to make the vendors switch from chips to credits in the current build, but it would be pretty good.

Before I get too much into this (still discussing this with RL and leads) I will say that for the longest time, we have wanted to make equipment cost money. Not only would this make the economy relevant to cops (and the CP department as a whole) it would also encourage giving out fines/taking bribes as a punishment rather than ye olde beating.

The problem is that our current currency system (everyone has credit cards rather than dollars) makes this nigh-impossible. Our developer(s) have enough on their plate and reforming the currency system is such a huge ordeal that we'd rather not add onto that right now unless it turns out the new system doesn't take as much work as I expect. Aside from that, there's also the question of whether such a change is healthy for the community as a whole.
CPs could get a separate tab on the skill tab that's similar to the bartering tab, but it's 'requisitions' or something, which uses credits just like the bartering. (Or even sterilized credits to give STC an actual use)
