ONE MORE COMPLAINTS POST, NO MORE, NO LESS
Okay no screenshots because I'm not complaining about specific people, but closing tickets without even ever saying anything is annoying and lazy in 9/10 cases and it happens consistently on this server (When it was up)

If I'm gonna wait around for ten minutes after making a ticket, I think I ought to at least get a "We can't do this because X" or "Sorry I don't know you'll have to ask later" it's not hard to just drop somebody a PM.

All I'm asking for is our General Secretary of the Willard Party @Imperator RAD-X to systematically disappear staff members who do this in the future and to mount their staff characters heads upon the train station for all to see.

@Hayden did this to be in the Beijing Megaevent and it RUINED the whole thing for me to see indifferent and disinterested staff day one. Don’t apply if you’re evil and can’t say a few words before you atomize my ticket…

I’ve had this happen on many cases. At times for stuff as simple as questions that could have been answered in five seconds with a PM that never comes.

Much like Kappitalist I don’t want to name names, but if a player has a ticket and you don’t want to interact with it, then just let another staff member or something handle it instead of dismissing it and leaving the player guessing what they’re supposed to do now. It sucks to be on the receiving end, especially when the matters are often incredibly simple.

The only time it's okay to do this is when you're doing it to @Divine or Nora (idk her forum tag) it causes so much confusion when a ticket is dismissed without a response and I honestly encourage people to make the same ticket until they get dignified with a /pm.

OKAY so I can properly give an actual update on this but we will be overhauling the ticket system with better user interface and how that information is then relayed to staff.

Right now it's four boxes that appear on the right as a maximum that disappears when either dismissed or taken and then one to four more pop up directly afterward. Sometimes it's a never ending wave.

Much will be dependent on how we upgrade it and make it more friendly to both users and staff to allow that to be seamless and non-irritating.

I will point out that I've been in the middle of handling a ticket only to have it just closed without my input. The current system isn't perfect sadly but it doesn't always mean that staff are ignoring you or otherwise not responding.

Alright I didn't want to, and no hate to him, but this keeps cropping up and I understand GMs are a bit thin on the ground in this event but @EpicWolf in particular keeps coming up not just for me but several other people I've spoken to.

The second screenshot is a repost of the question I asked, but I believe I made this ticket about an hour before it just gets closed, I'm not sure who EpicWolf is but he seems to just be a dev? I'm not sure if he's GMing for this event or not, but if he isn't I'm confused as to why he's closing the tickets being made to GMs? If he is a GM, why can't I just be given an answer to my question?

It's so incredibly tiring to have to wait for GMs to do anything, and not even be given the chance to ask the questions we need to be asking to progress in this event.

I too have had multiple tickets dismissed by this same person, alongside others. My instances were back in GM_Boreas but it's still happening in TLM.

I think this thread has gone on for long enough, some staff should randomly close it without providing a reason.

Hello.

You are in a volunteer position designed to service players. You have not been forced into this position. If you cannot service players by offering them common courtesy (actually communicating with them) then refrain from putting yourself in positions of service.

Just talk to us. It's literally all we want. A simple "I don't know" or "There's nobody around that can do that, sorry. Try again later."

It's especially frustrating in this context because a yes or no is all I needed, but its hugely disrespectful to my time to have to wait so long just to be dismissed to clear up space on somebodies screen.

Until I get an answer about whether I can do something ICly, I just have to wander around, I can't plan to do something else because I'm still waiting for an answer about whether I can do the first thing I wanted to do or not.

"Same thing goes for both sides"

???

Top ten worst things to say, actually dumb.

They're not even a GM or involved with the staff team, they don't rep my colors, why are they dismissing tickets and talkin' to players like that... #EventTeam #HeadcrabFaction #PoorCommunication

Plenty has been said already and though I may end up parroting what everyone already said - I'll be giving my piece anyways. Staff may be volunteers and this isn't a job, just a small online community that continues to play a dying game/gamemode, they still volunteered to put in the time to help the server.

If they can't be bothered to take any at all or offer a simple response after taking one then quite simply they shouldn't be in the position to begin with. It's even more bothersome by the above screenshot a developer has dismissed a ticket and gives no response in-game. Obviously there's no hate and yet this may come off as 'strong' but a developer shouldn't be taking a ticket at all unless they're somehow involved. And if and when they decide to it anyways, at least give inform the player.

I understand how irritating the ticket system can be as I still remember the 'enjoyment' of having seven tickets cover the right side of my screen. A menu of sorts and a way to notify staff of tickets should be in order for the sake of simplicity and not having a screen filled with overwhelming tickets would be nice.

Was waiting for an hour to have my ticket claimed, couldn't do anything in character because it involved performing something where I was needed. If you can't shoot a PM, resign from your position

guys free my boy epicwolf (he's not even a staff member (he didn't sign up for this) and he's doin' all these tickets bro 😭)
