Good scenebuilding with the props of grass and such, though variation is always welcome. I'd personally make the fauna a bit more subtle, possibly by pushing it into the ground and spreading it out. Matching the colours would also be good.
Experiment with lighting, as much as you *can* do in garry's mod though I recommend moving over to SFM as you'll find better success with creating realistic lighting there.
Lastly I'd say work on the camera placement so that the main action in the shot is front and centre. The man being shot is the focal point so I'd place him in the middle then put the shooter further back in the frame closer to the edge with some blur, what's referred to as an "over the shoulder" shot
