If a CWU member starts a work shift, anyone can walk upto the machine at any point, scan their CID, and walk off. They'll receive rewards at the end.
So, here's my suggestion: Have workers scan their CIDs both at the start and at the end. That way you know who was there for the entire shift.
If someone scans at the start but not at the end, they've left mid-shift, or skipped the shift entirely.
If someone scans only at the end, they weren't there for the entire shift
If the workshift terminal was inside, it'd stop people walking up to it mid-shift, but it wouldn't stop people just walking off during the shift for example.
