Reading this thread, people need to wait and play the map in the Willard Networks style before criticising. Astros stepped upto the plate to do this under his own volition, contacting and involving Freigscard the original mapper too, both have been contributing.

Be thankful, we'll see how it affects each faction and how everyone gets on, but let's not jump the gun until we've actually set everything up!

Once again, extending much thanks and appreciation To @Astro and Freigscard for their contributions and intervention at a time when we got royally screwed on our old map.

This is a reductive and generally insulting comment. I might have shitposted but there are serious complaints made that I myself share. Nobody doubts Astro's ability to make cool shit. I think a lot of his work on the i17 map was cool but I still don't like it because it didn't lend all that well for Roleplay, which is what I'm here for and what I and I'm sure many others are concerned about. It sucks when everytime there is a complaint there are 2-3 staff members at the ready to make snide and snarky remarks at completely reasonable concerns. Saying we should be appreciative and push for the change by dedicating our time to management when we want to be players doesn't fix the issue, it's you basically telling us off.

I only shitpost because the first staff response was just us getting called whiners. I appreciate Astro, dont particularly appreciate other staff members coming in to talk down on us. We aren't doomsaying, we want to see Willard flourish and be the best it can.

You're more than within you're right to file a complaint if you feel my comments were snarky or otherwise. @Botulism actually took on the suggestion I made and actually reached out to DM me regarding it and I was nothing but encouraging for him to give it a shot! He can attest that there was no malice or otherwise on either end.

Even though I was cordial to Marshall since I think he's a good person, there definitely are some pretty uncool staff members who are keen to do exactly this and single out people or dismiss anything they say just because it goes against the agenda they're attempting to set.

I think Marshall meant it out of genuine niceness as opposed to hearing that from someone else. I'm not naming names because my lawyer told me Mossad was aiming a sniper rifle at my parent's heads if I did.

Quite frankly criticism is due where criticism is due, and if you can't take criticism without becoming a defensive, rude, petty, uncool, etc. person, you shouldn't be a critical part of a server or anything's success. There's several people here who are keen to break down any group of people or person that says things that goes against them in a sophomoric, bullying way. I'm not a pussy that'll report it when I see it for harassment since I don't really care about whining (plus, I say plenty of risky shit myself, I'll give them that) But we all notice it and we're all collecting the receipts.

I'm not filing a complaint dude I'm telling you it would be nice that when someone makes a legitimate complaint or concern they aren't shat on and/or dismissed, as I've seen many times before. That's what I said boils down to.

I'll apologise for what I said to you, my intention was not to cause offense (also not staff btw not that that matters in the context)

Your complaints have been noted by astro and he has put yet more work into the map to help rectify it.
 
I wasn't acting as part of an agenda to dull your voices, I was simply criticizing your complaint, and worded it badly.

While I personally don't see the issues you raised as issues, you're entitled to your own opinions.
