  • *Character Name: William Cain Sinclair
  • *Brief summary of the character: William, being originally born in New Jersey, fled to Russia on a container ship with his mother at the age of nineteen. The duo escaped William's father, a drunk and hostile father that instilled a great infection inside of William. He always felt that in his hearts of hearts he had something to prove. So while he and his mother travelled into Russia - a kid with nothing to give, nor did he speak the language - still found work in the most intensive labouring work he had touched since home. Though America lost it's appeal and soon the mother and son adopted Russia as their new home, they learned to speak Russian and they learned to live by their neighbour's customs.
It was cold.
But it beat being beat. Or that's what William thought before he stabbed him in the heart. That's why they ran on the first boat settled in the docks - now they are in Russia.

After at least seven years of living in Russia the language became second nature, as had the many things he had to do to survive in Russia. He is outspoken, intelligent but when push comes to shove is rather psychotic. He also has a severe case of dyslexia.

  • *Character Name: Nate Rucker, 'Dirtbeard'
  • *Brief summary of the character: Standing at 6'5, Nate is a towering figure with a soft heart and a tough exterior. Hailing from the gorgeous land of Scotland, whose life centred around escape, Nate came to realise that most of his life he had been doing that: escaping. Life didn't feel normal to him. Get a job, get a family, get a car - it's all great to want to do that. To follow the normal plan of life.
Nate, first and foremost, is a loner. He left home at an early age. It wasn't much of a household though, a Dad with too many life lessons not to brand on his son maybe? His Dad was a Dad's Dad. A real man. He worked five to nine, clocking in first and the last to leave.

Besides a Dad with too many horrors in his head, Nate had his journal which he wrote in everyday - and still does to this day. It didn't take the invasion of Xen and then the Combine for Nate to become a wandering drifter - he already was. He never knew what tomorrow would bring, he went from Scotland to Ireland, flew over to England and then got a ferry to Amsterdam where he got a plane to Germany and so and so forth. Nate inherited his Dad's dog inside of him, the fighter - it might not show on the outside (besides his giant frame). In every country he came to find himself in there's one thing he had to do: work, work, work. He earned his cash and moved onto the next job - he became such a Jack of All Trades. From a hunter, to a store clerk, a cleaner and a welder - if there's anything in the world you can experience... Dirtbeard probably has. He's able to understand a multitude of languages in conversation, but barely able to speak any of them.

In Russia... Nate like always did what he did best. He survived on what he knew... and that was a lot.

*Why do you want to play as this character?: Nate is another old character of mine that was first based mostly on some of the people I know IRL (and Opie), then I added a tinge of Arthur Morgan for good measure. He's a fun character because he's a lot older than most of my usual characters. He's a big, gruff guy with nothing much to say until he does - he's incredibly articulate and thoughtful. But he has the nature to be dependant on being morally correct, even if he knows it's stupid sometimes.
