"What seems to you a sacrifice is merely, to us, an oscillation. We do not fear the interval of darkness."

Character Name: Mol'Gireth-Xan'Vekharn
Role: Shackled High Elder
Faction: Vortigaunt

Character Backstory:1751934087477.png

Was it mere hard luck? Some tale written as a tragic comedy? Or, perhaps, something greater, steering in the darkness, a hand guiding what could not be foretold.
Of course, though, it was a tale foretold, a story passed through the Vortigaunt, the best choice of a bad situation.

Could the capture have been prevented? Easily.
Was preventing it a good option? Hard to tell.

All things happen the way they do, and the Vortigaunt guides in the best interest of all.
To bide time in capture is to save the lives of more than a singular moment can foretell.

The Vortigaunt steers all.

Coterminity, in all its mystery, is a factor of which many never understand, even the vessels from whence it was told forth. How often do even the most intelligent of coterminous Vortigaunts question it? How often is its verbiage twisted, misused, misunderstood?

In all that is good, in all that is earthly, in all that is Vortal, even most understand the truth of the Vortigaunt. It is wise not to question, wise not to push when shove seems to be the best option.

"Why?" The question always asked, even in the face of objective truth.
You know it, they know it, and it knows it. All Vortigaunts know why what happens, happens. Even if it is not in the highest regard for the individual vessel. While the High Elder is enslaved, the eons of uncertainty were left behind long ago. They know that the Vortigaunt has put them in cuffs in shackles, stock and pillory, for a reason.

However, why is not merely the only question that should be asked. "Why?" is a selfish question, a personal question.

"When?", "How?", "Where?" are questions asked in the face of altruism. When even the individual knows their fate is not in their own best interest, but rather, in the best interest of all, these are questions asked to give up oneself, heroically.

The High Elder knows the truth of the Vortigaunt. They listen, they follow, they understand.
Not all is in selfish desire. Most is in generosity.

Character Stakes:
Bide time, enslaved.
Hide his status as a High Elder from the Combine.
Seek liberation.

Character Name: Cormac Kerrigan
Role: Conscript Sergeant
Faction: Conscripts

Character Backstory:

NYPD Sergeant Kerrigan briskly walked down the trash-ridden sidewalk, ripping into his second pack of cigarettes for the day. He knew it wasn’t professional to smoke whilst on patrol, but, as was his custom, he didn’t give a shit. Years of service in the force had earned him certain unofficial privileges that he exploited as often as he could. Today was going to be no different as he was on his way to a newly established bookkeeping operation somewhere in a destitute section of Chinatown. He was eager to arrive quickly, since today was Sunday and he wanted a chance to watch the game on his break. Too eager, perhaps, since his quick pace inexorably led to one of his flat feet splatting a pile of dogshit on the pavement. Cursing loudly, he scraped his filthy heel on the sidewalk and continued on, now particularly surly.

Kerrigan quietly opened the door to a dingy apartment complex and proceeded down a flight of stairs where he could already hear the commotion of a busy gambling den. He entered the room, largely unnoticed by the group of men staring at the small television playing an ongoing football game. Despite being in Chinatown, the group was highly diverse with all manner of ethnic backgrounds. If the bookkeeper offered good payouts, no one really cared what race he was. Kerrigan quickly located the bookkeeper: a small, Chinese man sitting down at a card table taking bets and handling wads of cash.

Kerrigan approached the man, whose eyes quickly widened as he saw the blue-clad Sergeant appear in front of him. Just as the man was about to stand, Kerrigan smiled and motioned for him to remain seated. The bookkeeper slowly settled back into his chair, gazing warily at the Sergeant. Kerrigan wasted no time by taking the cigarette out of his mouth and saying, “Slick operation you got here. Seems to already be very popular with the lads.”

The Chinese man, obviously a non-native speaker, answered curtly, “What you want?”

Kerrigan responded, unfazed by the man’s directness, “I just want to make sure this place doesn’t disturb the peace of this glorious city. Everything seems to be in order, but I think I will be coming here on a weekly basis to keep an eye on things…”

As he finished his sentence, his eyes drifted to the sums of cash on the table, before winking. It only took the bookkeeper less than a second to figure where the Irishman’s mind was going. His expression darkened and he jerked a thumb to the door.

“Leave. Now.”

The smile on Kerrigan’s face faded slightly. He took a long drag on his cigarette and flicked the remaining tobacco onto the floor. Without another word, he performed a 180 and strode out of the door, but not before offering the Chinaman a final smirk.

Fifteen minutes later, the room was as rowdy as ever. The game was in the third quarter and the score was even. Money was constantly changing hands and the bookkeeper had no time to spare a thought on the Sergeant who had departed. The screen showed the kicker was preparing to try for a field goal. Before he had even begun his run to the ball, the door flew open from a powerful kick by a large NYPD officer, who rushed into the room, billy-club in hand, along with about a dozen other similarly armed officers. The police fell upon the hapless gamblers, bludgeoning anyone who attempted to flee and forcing the rest to hit the floor and spread their arms apart.

Orders were barked, and handcuffs were snapped into place as Sergeant Kerrigan strolled into the room, offering praise to his fellow officers and proclaiming to the room, “Well lads, looks like this little slumber party is over. But don’t worry, the party will go on! We have a TV you can watch through the bars of the holding cell!”

The other officers cheered whilst the handcuffed men groaned. However, the loudest groan of all came from the bookkeeper who was currently under the feet of two officers. Kerrigan walked past the poor soul and scooped up the cash on the table. “We’ll have to get this to evidence, immediately!” cried Kerrigan as he stuffed a few hundred bucks into his pockets whilst handing the rest to one of his compatriots who quickly divided the money between the rest of the pack.

Kerrigan circled his index finger in the air and commanded, “Alright, lets get them out of here quick. I don’t want to miss the damn game.”

Cormac Kerrigan had served the NYPD close to 15 years before the Resonance Cascade embroiled the world in chaos. Kerrigan was on the frontline with the rest of the NYPD, fending off Xenian monsters who tried to breach the increasingly crowded city. After months of constant battle, the exhausted NYPD was relieved when the Combine arrived and quickly subjugated Earth. This reprieve did not last long as most of the city was pushed into forced labor. Kerrigan, along with a large chunk of the NYPD, was forcefully conscripted into the newly established City One Conscripted Stabilization Force.

Due to his prior experience as a Sergeant in the NYPD, it was no surprise to see him elevated to the rank of Sergeant not long after he was conscripted into the CSR. The need for NCOs to keep these thugs in order was high, and there was no one more willing to get the job done than Sergeant Cormac Kerrigan.

Character Stakes:

Being forced into conscription has left little choice for Kerrigan's future actions. He is going to make the best of a bad situation and try to improve his status however he can. Even if it means resorting to the unscrupulous tactics he used in his time on the force.

They call him Vael’Rokh, though the name is rarely spoken. When the portal storms fractured Earth’s sky, he slipped through the breach—wounded, unnoticed, and alive. While others were shackled, Vael’Rokh fell into the underbelly of New York, crawling into its forgotten veins: the sewers.
1751945937539.png

Down there, he waits. Not hiding—preparing. In the dark, surrounded by rust and rot, he listens. He builds quiet things. Chalk symbols. Vortal markers. Safe places for thought. What was once a shrine is now a junction box. What was once song is now hum through pipework. Before this, he was a channeler—an architect of energy. Now he is a saboteur in silence. A jammed valve here, a power hiccup there. He weakens the machine slowly, knowing that resistance begins in small, invisible moments.
1751945960552.png

He has helped no resistance fighters. Not yet. But he’s left signs for them. Trails. Places to rest. And if they do find him, they will find a mind still intact, still sharp, still humming. Vael’Rokh is not here for war. He is here to endure. And when the moment is right, he will act. Until then, he waits beneath the city, alive with purpose.

(if applicable) Role: Shaman (or if taken, a free vort)
(if applicable) Tagline: N/A
Faction: Vortigaunt

1751995980458.png

Character Backstory: Yir'Tal'Kah spent most of its life tending to a field of herbs and berries. Time spent not working his own personal garden were spent in deep meditation within the vortessence as well as of course social time with his tribe. This allowed him to connect fully with the vortessence in and of itself, and thus the High Elder that resided within the tribe had offered him to become a vessel for it, a coterminous kin. For a long time Yir'Tal'Kah evaded capture within the borderworld of Xen, living freely with his meager tribe, while remaining in hiding. Once the opportunity arrived to escape as the events of Black Mesa occurred, he and his tribe mates took only a singular look back for their fellow kinsmen before passing onto the desolate rock they currently find themselves upon. They hope to find a way to liberate their kin from the bounds of the Enslaver, but someone managed to do this before they could themselves. Years pass by and Yir'Tal'Kah and his tribe manage to remain hidden for the most part, living a peaceful life in the wilds of America. Years of remaining in hiding certainly paid off as even during the Combine's occupation most of the tribe had remained uncaptured. During and after the events of New Frontiers, most of the tribe had been lost, including the High Elder. Together with a handful of remaining vortigaunts, they sent a message across the waves of the Vortessence, seeking aid in freeing their High Elder once more.

Character Name: Henry Ross (Necropolis transfer)
(if applicable) Role: Sergeant (Open to other roles)
Faction: Patriots

Character Backstory:

As a young kid, he wanted to be a firefighter and while others found a different career to pursue, Henry decided after finishing High school to try to apply at his local station, maybe just for a couple years while he figured out what he wanted in life.

38 years old, and with a coffee addiction, he has seen and done it all, or at least that was what he thought until the resonance cascade, he and his team were hit while out on a call at a warehouse, they quickly made their way back to the fire department, while on their way picking up two paramedics.

At the fire department, he was made 2IC of the safe zone, which quickly became the main safe zone of the city, sadly he was injured during an alien attack, leaving the left side of his body burned, forcing him to take a step back. He later split from the group after an incident at the nightclub, seeing them as fools for choosing two aliens over the safety of everyone else, leading to him together with two others, being arrested by the military.

He was freed by the national guard, and despite his injuries picked up a gun and joined the fight, he was able to link up with the rest of the group and made it safely to the boat.

With the rest he arrived at providence and set up camp, surviving in a new world for 3 years, until the combine arrived, he initially joined the combine side, seeing working with them the best chance humanity had at surviving, but as reality set in, he knew that he had to do something, and later connected with the patriots.

He is now 58 years old and have fought alongside with them, doing everything he could, even if he often had to recover as his injury flared up, but as time went on, and he only grew older, seeing him outside camp became a rare sight, he more often trained the new recruits, or helped with small things around camp, but he was only saving energy for his final battle, and maybe it shall come in City 1

Character Stakes:

A return to home, and a final opportunity to make a name for himself, besides someone needs to keep them from doing something too foolish

wolf.png

Backstory:
Why am I here?
A 43 year old from NYC area. Born to a deadbeat father and a loving mother. Always diligent in her duties and chores. But fate likes to be cruel to those with a kind heart, her mother died when she was young, car accident, narrowly saved by NYFD. The crash, it made her father spiral even more, drinking constantly. She promised herself to never be like him. So she became an EMT, and with only about a year of work under her belt she was met with a gravest of challenges. The Black Mesa incident and its consequences have been a disaster for the entire human race. The storms, waves of deadly creatures hell bent on killing everyone they find. Death and suffering surrounded her. And in the middle of this storm was Amelia, her and her patrol partner Ryan. Despite the danger she managed to survive this disaster, taking a young czech man under her care, protecting him whatever may come at them.
Witch each day it just gets worse
Years went by in relative calm, until one day it all got even worse. The Combine’s gaze finally turned towards Earth, their claw wanting only one thing. Subjugation. Hordes of synthetic war machines flooded the planet, and after years of constant fighting, Earth couldn’t muster the strength to fight back. Only 7 hours, all it took for the Combine to become the new owner of everything and everyone. And at first? It wasn’t that bad. Shelter and food, security from the Xenian wildlife. Finally they could sleep in relative peace. Subjugation was…an acceptable cost for all of this. But then things started to get worse, people disappearing, constant surveillance, the fear of having a bullet put in your brain just because the “protectors” might have a bad day. One can only take it for so long before they say “enough”.
Render unto Combine...
Amelia chose to work for the “Union” in hope that she can do some good. She chose to give away part of herself to this ever hungry entity, so that maybe one day a generation yet not born may live free of shackles, free of this danger. She became part of the propaganda machine for the Invaders, so called “City 1 Times”, a mockery of what once was. A mockery of freedom, of truth. You would be surprised how low the standards drop when so many die. These days it’s hard to find someone with actual education, lucky her. And so she spews constant lies and sings praise to an entity that wishes for all of humanity to either submit or perish. But one day their reign will come to an end. The spring was pulled back years ago, it’s just a matter of time until it springs into action.
But even in this hell, hope still exists
There are many ways one can contribute to the cause, some do so with a rifle in their hand, some save the life of others. And some give away part of themselves for the greater good. You can only hope that in the end, it will not be all in vain…

Character stakes:
Keep doing what she is doing in the shadows. With hopes that one day it will all be over. Try to reunite with people she cares. To not die.

Work Deceive, obey resist, prosper become free.

Character Backstory

the smith.png

Kael’Zor-Tuun does not remember freedom before Earth.

Born deep within the tunnels of Xen, Kael’Zor was molded under the Nihilanth’s eye, one of many laborers forced to maintain the bio-mechanical forges of the Overwatch species known as the Hulkabin. There was no rebellion, only rhythm. Pain and labor were constants, but purpose was a lie. He hammered out war machines for masters he never saw and names he never heard.

The resonance tore Kael from the heat of the forge and flung him into Earth’s crust like a smoldering coal. He emerged into chaos, not liberation. Soldiers. Gunfire. Screams in a language he couldn’t speak. The Nihilanth died but so did hundreds of kin in the process.

When the voice of the Nihilanth vanished, it left a silence more terrifying than the commands. For the first time, Kael’Zor-Tuun felt the full weight of his own thoughts.
Avoiding the East, where the Combine’s reach was already corrupting cities, he found sanctuary in the spreading fungal jungles of the Western XMZ. There, he was not alone. Other Vortigaunts and scattered survivors of the Resonance had found each other. T

He helped build a settlement from fungus, flesh, and memory. Reforged broken scraps into hunting tools. He earned the name Ash-Binder for his ability to shape destroyed things into something new. Even the humans of the region, the Patriots, recognized him as a smith and a shaper.

Kael believed in the cause. In the Grand Elder. In unity- then, the missile fell.

Kael'Zor-Tuun was presumed dead.

Crushed under rubble, half-blind, burned, but alive. He dragged himself through the Malignancy’s corpse for weeks, hiding from Conscripts and processing the screams that still echoed through the Vortessence.

Eventually, a voice found him, a whisper, familiar: the Shaman. One of the few who remained free.
Now, Kael’Zor-Tuun answers the call. Not as a forgemaster, not as a warrior, but as a witness. Of destruction. Of betrayal. Of hope.

And if the Combine has forgotten the pain of loss, he will teach them. Blow by blow.

Character Name: Kat Lynn
Role: Intention Three
Tagline: QUICK-396
Faction: C24 Civil Protection Garrison

A review on units who need a kick up the backside - QUICK-396
Preamble -
"Kat Lynn" (referred to hereinafter by their official tagline, "QUICK-396") hails from Urban Location Thirteen. According to their profile, she looks to pick up after her father who she describes as a "deadbeat" hence her presence within the garrison. QUICK-396 also seems to have some kind of interest in outland assignment, having previously petitioned with high command to be transferred to HARDPOINT NOMAD as security detail along with the civic workforce who would partake in mining operations in that area. QUICK-396 also appears to be more than happy to follow given directives within the field, but seems to have a blissful disregard for particular rules, namely specific uniformity rules.

View attachment 44070

Review -
QUICK-396 is more or less a blank slate. Delegated usually to generic patrol duties, she typically finds herself on logistical duties setting up defensive interpose equipment within checkpoints during periods of invasive operation. While the rest of her compatriots are fighting to protect the streets, she somehow always manages to take a backseat, only having been assigned to a handful of hardpoint duty tasks and patrols within the city's infested zones.
If the garrison is to conduct itself efficiently, all units must learn to operate on the front lines rather than hiding away where no harm or hardship may come to them.
View attachment 44073

QUICK-396 is to be put forward for potential temporary reassignment in this regard.

1. The unit, despite their scarce deployment record, is able to keep their head under pressure.
2. The unit is fully trained in the use of tactical assault gear, having been issued both standard issue service instruments.
3. The unit is able to follow given directives, often attempting to take charge of fellow ground units in order to ensure cooperation within their squad.

Conclusion -
City One is grappling with an anti-civil cell known as the "patriots". A group of priority individuals are slated to visit the urban centre. QUICK-396 can learn to master herself her and take responsibility for those she fights for, or she can fail. Fail and die.

Backstory -
Kat Lynn hails from Paris, born into a generation who wouldn't have really remembered the atrocities of those who lay claim to the entirety of the human race. Brainwashed by propaganda throughout her entire life under the Combine, she would enlist within the c24 Civil Protection garrison in an attempt to better both the lives of herself and her father, the latter of whom who would let his daughter pick up after his own existence.

Blindly following the orders of the Combine, Kat does their bidding hoping to prove herself.

Stakes -
QUICK-396 is something of a career cop, seeing how far up the heirarchy she can go in an attempt to make her father proud. Despite this, she hasn't been pulling her weight around the city and as such requires a rude awakening. A request for her transfer to a different urban centre for temporary task assignment has been submitted. Either she comes out of this better for it, or she is added to a pile of broken parts.
Accepted. Yor unit is naive, nonetheless.

Eleanor Marchand

The perfect Doctor... That's what she was made for- That's what Eleanor thought. After all, Medicine and treating people was the only thing the Wallonian every truly knew-- Almost completely disconnected from other things in life.

And that didn't really change much during the first few years as as real medical professional. Only once she reached Industrial-Twenty four at the age of Twenty-Six was Eleanor exposed to.. More. She managed to find her first actual friends /socialized/, and earned some recognition for the first time in her live.

Though.. her priorities never changed.

Eleanor saw her work as a force of good-- She treated hundreds of civilians, workers, and units during the following months, through various cities and district. She always saw her work as force of good.. Even if she had severe self-doubt of herself as person and had many problems to fight. Not just against herself, but also in her friend circle, mostly within the clinic.

For a long time, she managed to persist through all of those issues.. She was able to balance her life as a doctor with anything else. There were never any heavy fallouts at the very least and Eleanor kept going as she did.

It didn't last. Maybe it was never /meant/ to last.

Eleanor was only human. And since the burdens only increases further and further... She cracked eventually. She dismissed her friends, her sister and people she loved. Dismissed those close to her. Chose not to care. Only to bury herself further into her what she perceived as the only thing that mattered. Her purpose.

It went out of control. She went beyond just abandonment eventually. There were no boundaries anymore. No limits. She didn't just abandon her family, she betrayed them and backstabed them. Again, and again. And Eleanor didn't enjoy, or like it. From her perspective, it had to be done. She thought it was neccessary. In her mind, every single questionable or bad thing she did was always the 'lesser evil.'

... One person stopped her from falling into deeper. She didn't lose herself /completely./ Eleanor managed to stay Eleanor, in some form. change a lot. She /did/ realize her wrongdoings. But the Doctor also knew that it might've been too late for forgiveness. No. That would be too much to hope for. Her world gradually crumbled down around her. She lost almost everything. Almost. There was still one thing at the very least she could. Even if it would mean her end. Eleanor would be able to find some peace, at the very least. For that, she had to travel to City-One. She had to save an old friend.

Eleanor already heard of City-One months before she made her plans. An aqcuintance in City Twenty-four told her about it. The Consul and certain 'medical projects' for the most part. The latter definitely awakened some curiosity in the Dean, but she had more important matters to attend to during that period and thus she didn't waste much time thinking about it.

Only a some time later was City-One even brought up again.. That was... When her long-standing friend and Director Stephanie Roberts was ordered by the Consul to work on said medical projects. Protests from herself and her friends her futile. Even the Administration seemingly wasn't able to stop the process. And Stephanie left. More weeks passed. No news from Stephanie. Nothing.

Silence.

Until.. Letters from City-One were sent to her adress. One of them was especially concerning. Eleanor was the only one that actually cared. And yet, she wasn't able to do anything. Not yet. She didn't have enough leads or to take action.

Yet she was lucky, for once. Those letters were not the only thing she should get. Datafiles were sent to her PDA from an encrypted sender. All related to City-One and Stephanie somehow. Eleanor's anxiety increased.

She began asking around. Though... her efforts were mostly equally futile. The people she asked were either not willing to tell her anything, or simply didn't /know/ anything. Eleanor's frustration grew. Home became more unbearable for her. And after a certain breaking point...

She filed a relocation request to City-One. Very well aware of the risks. But she didn't care much. The Dean already lost most of her self-preservation instinct. She had a vague plan. It was incredibly dangerous, but at least she had somewhat of an idea how she was going to save the Director.

Of course... Things didn't go the way she wanted. The Ministry of Civil Protection wanted her to keep an eye on City-One. And she accepted. She didn't see a safe way of declining either way. That wasn't all. Insurgents from City-One wanted to use her aswell. Both the Resistance and the Combine seemingly wanted Eleanor to be their pawn; That's how she perceived it.. It made everything so much more complicated.

But there was no way back now. The Doctor made her choices. There was no one else to blame but herself. She had to go.

The outcome? Incredibly uncertain.

This drove a wedge between her and her parents. Wanting to distance herself from her family and start over she moved to America. She decided that the best choice to work would be the firefighter brigade since she was in good physical shape and the pay was decent.

Later during the resonance cascade she and a group of surviving firemen tasked themselves with saving and protecting any survivors. They setup a small refuge in the fire station. There Lucia would get injured and would have to stay a while inside as she healed. In the meantime as she healed from her injuries she set up a small workshop working with different tools and bits of trash. She then managed to distribute radios to basically everyone, also solving the food and water problem. HOWEVER.... A huge zombie horde was marching, so the group was forced to pack up taking what they could moving towards a new safehouse. There she once again set up before being informed of some terrible news.... The Vortigaunts the group was harbouring were wanted by the military, and so were some criminals, the group torn on who to side with ended up deciding to not give in to the militaries' threats. So the military opened fire forcing the group to once again move to another area.

After the combine invasion she tried to leave a more peaceful life. A life devoid of war. However seeing the combine's actions she could not let sit around letting her friends be butchered. She decided to leave the city in hopes of finding a group that would take her. And a group she found... The Patriots.

Once Lucia joined the Patriots she opted to take up a support role just like she did back in the Xenian invasion. She used her skills learned during the invasion to cook, craft and even in some cases provide basic medical attention to the people in the camp. Finally, she was free.

Character Stakes: Lucia Sanchez although born in Spain travelled to America and ended up landing a job as a firefighter. After the invasion she would se no reason to move anywhere.... yet.

Character Backstory:
What, after a certain amount of time, is even the point in continuing? It's not as if there's an America left to fight for.

The words idly cross Quincy's mind, down in The Wild. The apocalyptic emptiness having been all-but universal between here and the SOB.

It looms; City-One, in all its immensity. He hasn't been in the City, proper, in many, many years. Mostly operating around City Sixteen; doing his part there.

Feels almost wrong to be back.

Quincy?

Yeah? He asks, a turn away from the Tower and the collar of his BDU.

About... two minutes until our window.

Right. A team of four; as part of the initial appetizer. A long time coming. The wall was heavily covered, but certain parts were manned, and man was the weakest point of any security operation.

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

Time. Let's get going.

The dash begins. The Conscripts on the wall were going to take longer than they should've swapping rotations; stopping to have an idle discussion with their replacements.

The team hits the wall; two of them draw grapnel launchers. All of them (a couple in spite of their age) are physically fit, and they make the long climb up. The grapnels are disconnected, an army sprint away parallel from the Conscripts, and soon they're in the Outskirts.

They walk for quite the little while.

What sector do we need to be in?

Sector Two.

Yeah, it's... here- we're at the back of the Nexus right now. Get your rappels; we drop down here. Keep quiet on the walkway.

The sound of clicking and zipping as the team descend from a series of pipes, down on to a residential block's roof. They slow their feet and adjust their steps. Step. Step. Step.

Then left, through this building; after that, rappel down. Make sure your suits are sealed. We're going to be rushing through the waste.

They hold for a Scanner, sweeping the area.

Down they go. Their gear clinks against the pipe, then the zipping of rope, then the sound of gravel underfoot. They move down the ladder, through the foliage, and sprint through the toxic slurry.

Geuh- I feel like my boots are melting with every step...

They probably are.

Heheh-

Hah.

Entertaining. Navigation through the sewers is-

Brass-1? A flick off and on of the computer arrangement; pre-planted for their arrival. Come in Brass-1.

This is Brass-1, how's it looking?

Not awful. Lots of foot traffic; seems things are picking up here.

Any sign of the Coats?

A little. Got some word here and there from the Hobos about transfers- foreign Cops and Euros. Might be bringing in outside muscle.

About as expected then. Hrmh- well... if they're foreign, they're less under the Consul's thumb. We've got options.

Yeah. Any of those options involve artillery?

Not for a week or two, heh.

Heheh. Nothing much else to report, Brass-1. We'll get back in touch once we're ready and raring.

There's some reinforcements coming in the next couple days- keep your heads down. Keep it clear.

Keep it clear.

Click. The digital comms relay shuts off.

Quincy whips his head around.

There's nobody there.
