Very aggressive, but pretty on-point; I respect Rad-X's comment as he says people should be civil on the forums and I agree, but at the same time, if nothing gets done save for more of the same old same old, that kinda defeats the purpose of civility, it only helps the non-angered party unfortunately.
I'm not making a big deal about this and saying we should go all French Revolution and burn down some staff team member's house (though I'm going to burn down peryite's) But I am in total agreement with how the staff team's bureaucracy has been completely mismanaged for only the benefit of a few players. I've ran servers before, not as large as Willards but with atleast a hundred to two hundred players offline and around twenty-thirty online at their peak. Willards has around 30-50 total staff members (including creation team, mentors, leads, devs, etc), give or take, you don't need a byzantine level of bureaucracy that this server has. It needs to be skimmed, down-sized, and slimmed down to an efficient proportion. Everyone knows this, the staff are just afraid of going forth with it because they might get cut or lose their position in an impending lay-off, and no staff member wants that to happen.
But of course, no changes will happen until the folks at the top realize that the only way a server stops being stale is if it goes with the flow and changes in the times -- you don't swim in a sea if you stay stationary, you drown. You can't make a change that appeases everyone, either. Being in leadership is about making the hard decisions that will be unpopular with those you hold close, and that's just a fact.
The amount of times I've seen and heard of a person in power with repeat shitty decisions in this community is numerous, yet they just...Stick around. You don't have to ban these people, just find more efficient people to do their job better. That's how any normal community or employer works and that's how any efficient community will always work.
The day a community becomes toxic is when you don't ACTIVELY promote an atmosphere of efficiency, quality, professionalism, anti-nepotism, meritocracy, and competitive yet friendly criticism from everyone. Some have tried to promote these values but when they've been known to go against them themselves, it kind of falls on deaf ears, 'Rules for me but not for thee' type vibes.
I'm completely derailing a thread made about a map to go on about staff criticism here, but I feel like everything ties back to that. People want something done and the map is just one of the main points about staff team inefficiency and a lack of intuition. It's not the best, most biting map and
that's no fault to the developers who Willard-ized it because the map IS flawed from the beginning, IMO. We should've gone with the map City 3 on GMOD that's reminiscent of a Chinese city. It's infinitely cooler in its' atmosphere and is an amazing city map besides a few small, easily fixable issues.

That's all, thanks.
