I thought OTA got PKed on death?
They do not, because that would quite literally be pointless. OTA has 0 character development whatsoever so PKing them would do nothing but be annoying as players would have to make a new identical character on death as opposed to just respawning.

4 hours if you’ve minmaxed your character build and know all loot spots and are lucky enough to get there before anyone else has looted them.
Part of the problem summed up.

The whole set loot spots that give the same junk materials that need broken down and rinse and repeat takes away from any RP. There’s no incentive to go beyond that and it’s a tedious and immersion breaking task. I always thought that tokens to buy things was always the way to go, maybe you don’t get enough from rations to cause ration camping but that you’d get them from doing jobs, workshifts etc meaning you’d have to RP to get anywhere taking away some of that P2W mindset as players RP develops as they continuously have to do it.

Willard is as it says on the tin: an RPG

Stop getting to my loot crates first you grubby fucks. I want resources too ;-;

(In all seriousness I know people have in the past memorized the loot respawn timers and set them on their phones)

^^^^Should probably change this ^^^^ and make it so loot has random regeneration times within a max time limit. Would make it much more fair for everyone involved instead of the metagamers.

Already is the case. It can be configured in-game at a moment’s notice. The cooldown in general is just not high enough for people to even notice this.

The bad RP are comes in much higher quantities, it has always been like that in any RP game ive been in. But Willard for me brings some very captivating and fun RP scenarios. Stop thinking that you will ever make this server perfect its not possible. Just strive to make/participate in RP the best of your capabilities

'CK' and 'PK'

I remember on a falloutrp server they had this distinction, I don't remember it fully but it could be an interesting thing:

'Character Kills'

and

'Perma-Kill' (or whatever tf it was called).

Basically, PKs wiped out your character, name changed, a few other things as well, etc. Essentially your character dies...
But you still got the scripts and usually keep your rank/side stuff. They were overall pretty easy to get.

CKs were what a Pk is on Willard (and in the general hl2rp community). Very hard to get, you needed to have extremely good reasoning, you can't just do one because someone was rude to you etc. Eg, they coup'd your group and murdered your best friend kinda thing.

Idk I think it could be a good compromise, obviously different, but having 'levels' of Pks could be good.

Eg, you have the standard PK at the top - character banned, everything deleted etc. Have it be the hardest to get.
Then you got one that massacres your rank but keeps some of your stuff.
And finally you got one that just wipes your name, but lets you keep your progress.

All depending on the severity of the issue etc.
