OVERVIEW
With Fire and Sword is Willard Network's latest mega-event, emphasizing player freedom, mystical wonder, and worldbuilding. Set in a fictional land called Modora, this event aims to immerse you in the life of a person living in this fictional land.
As is typical for mega-events, this event will last for two-four weeks (depending on IC events). The date is currently TBD.
The person applying for the role of the King will be allowed to make a new name for The Kingdom, and those applying for leadership roles have the opportunity to create a name and history for their House, literally shaping the worldbuilding of the event with their application and giving a firm identity to their group. Players are also encouraged to make joint applications with others to create interesting starting dynamics for their characters.

One thousand years ago today, Magic was slain. Our lands were once inhabited by creatures attuned to the magical forces of our world and gifted with great ability - some human, some... something else. These beings once worked in harmony with our people, but as time passed they grew mad with their power. Binded under the mysterious Witch-King, magical forces of our worlds sought to enslave those without access to supernatural power under banner of the Great Empire. The Great Empire's legions were quick to ravage our lands, using their power to vanquish our armies and make helpless our rulers, and it seemed our world would be lost.
The Church was quick to unite the remnants of humanity which had not already been trampled. Our people put their faith in the good will of our God and united together against the legions of demons which had beset us. After years of bloody hardship and intense battle, our numbers overwhelmed the power of magic, and we raided the castle of the once great Witch-King, and the Witch-King was slain. Under command of the Church, our king put to sword all magical beings of our world, preventing the rise of any supernatural threat to our way of life again.
As the decades turned to centuries, magic has turned into ancient history, and humanity has split into different nations. In the modern day, our Kingdom stands strong as the historical vanquishers of magic, proud of our long history. Proud to be the saviours of humanity. But our neighbouring nations grow stronger, and anxiety grows amongst our people as to the future of the sanctity of our nation.
In these times, our history teaches us that unity is needed above all.
